James J Castellotti, age 77, of Media, PA, passed away peacefully at home, on September 7, 2024.
Jim, son of the late Joseph and Jennie (nee Lallo) Castellotti, graduated from Upper Darby High School and attended St Joseph’s university.
Jim started his professional career in accounting at Gulf Oil before transferring to The Philadelphia Refinery. After accepting an early retirement package, Jim joined his father’s business, Windows ‘n Walls, until full retirement.
During his early years, Jim was an avid tennis player and sports fan, with a passion for the Phillies, the Eagles, any tennis match that was airing on television, and attending his daughters volleyball matches. However, Jim’s true passion was his love for riding his bike. During his healthy years, Jim was proud to ride in the MS 150 City to Shore bike tour, riding along with his son, Steven. When Jim was not fundraising for MS or watching sports, he loved to listen to music and has a vinyl record collection to show that love. All of his passions were fully supported by his loving wife of 52 years, Bobbie, who was by his side through it all.
Jim was pre-deceased by his parents, Joe and Jennie, his in-laws Gus and Jenny, and his brother-in-law Gussie. Jim is survived by his wife, Bobbie, his son Steve, his daughter-in-law Elizabeth, his daughter Dana, his adorable grandson Eric, and many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to his services on September 13, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:30am at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 3255 Concord Rd, Aston, PA 19014. A funeral mass will be held in the church at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s name can be made to the MS Society at donate.nationalmssociety.org.
