James J. Clossick, 71, of Exton, passed away on November 29, 2015.
Jim was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the US Navy Submarine Service where he was awarded his "Dolphins."
Jim attended Widener University on the GI Bill and taught Social Studies and Economics in the Upper Darby School District for 34 years. He was the Golf Coach at Upper Darby High School until his retirement.
Jim earned a Master's Degree in Counselling from Villanova and Principal's Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania.
He loved classroom teaching where he believed he could make a difference.
Jim was an avid golfer who loved the game madly.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Maryanne Clossick; his daughter Rebecca Kirk; and his grandchildren Michael, James, and Lily Grace.
Jim was a wonderful father, husband, and grandfather.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Friday, December 4, 2015 10:00-11:00 AM at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382 and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
