James Patrick "Jimmer" Cox, age 97, of Havertown, PA, formerly of Overbrook Park, PA, passed away on December 27, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Edward and Sara (nee Friel) Cox.
James served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during WW II, after working in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CC Camps).
Upon returning, he was employed as a bartender in the Philadelphia area including The Shack Restaurant for 45 years, as well as O'Malley's and Turtle Crossing.
James was the beloved husband of the late Margaret M. "Moggy"

Cox; the loving father of John M. Cox, (Nancy), Robert G. Cox (Lorraine), Joan M. Cox Massaro ( Rick), and Margaret Mary "Margie" Cox Arlan (Adam).
Devoted grandfather of Robert J. Cox, Andrew J. Cox, Brian P. Cox, Richard D. Massaro, Kristin Massaro, Matthew Cox, Theresa Cox, Daniel Arlan, Kathryn
"Katie" Arlan, Jake Arlan, and Keenan Cox and great-grandfather of Connor Cox, Tyler Cox, Ryan Cox, Sarah Cox, Josephine Cox, Charlotte Cox, Sullivan "Sully" Massaro, Celeste Massaro, Zuri Cox, Maggie Cox, and Rowan Cox.
Dear brother of Catherine Dean.
Predeceased by his children, James P. "Jay" Cox, Jr. and Edward J. Cox (surviving wife, Karen), as well as his siblings, Edward Cox, Sara Condart, Robert Cox, and Joseph Cox.
