James G. Davis

James G. “Jim” Davis, 90, of Downingtown, PA, passed away on March 6, 2022.

Born in Chester County, PA in 1931, James was the son of the late James H. and Alice E. (nee Purcell) Davis. He graduated from Villanova University. James served honorably in the US Army. In his younger years, James enjoyed attending the Penn Relays with friends. He was an avid fan of Villanova football and basketball. James enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He loved going to Ocean City, NJ.

James was the beloved husband of the late Joan H. (nee McConnell) Davis; loving father of Stephanie C. Linskens (Patrick), Jennifer Peiffer (William); caring grandfather of Nancy Linskens, Faith Woodard, Joseph Linskens, Daniel Linskens, Katherine Smith, Benjamin Linskens, John Linskens, Rachel Linskens, Patrice Flynn, and William Peiffer, Jr.; adoring great-grandfather of Jonathan, Noah, Isaac, Aaron, Jesse, and Josiah; predeceased by his brothers, Eugene W. Davis and Thomas J. Davis.
