James J. Kelly

James J. Kelly, 83, of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, passed away, at home surrounded by his family, on November 5, 2023.

Born in 1940 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James and Helen (née McGoldrick) Kelly.

James was the beloved husband, for 54 years, of Carol Ann (née Murray); loving father of Karen Berger and David (Laurie); proud grandfather to Emma Berger (fiancé Tom Freney), Scott Berger, Erin Berger, Jamie Berger, Joanna Rohlfs, and Dylan Wooten (Aelaina); and great grandchildren TJ and Paisley.

James was 1962 graduate of Mount St. Mary. He served honorably in the US Air Force for 6 years during the Vietnam War. James later worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Philadelphia.

He was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and a 30 year season ticket holder. He was also an avid golfer and card player. But his greatest joy in life was his family and spending time with them and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-10:30 AM Friday, November 10, 2023 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment Private.
