James Kenney, III

James Edward Kenney, III, age 74, of Havertown, PA, passed away on October 21, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1947, James was the son of the late James Edward, Jr. and Mary (nee Shannon) Kenney. He served honorably in the US Navy Seabees. James was a Master Plumber and the owner of Kenney’s Plumbing & Heating. He was hardworking, funny, and caring. James loved spending time with his friends and family, especially while attending the 4th of July festivities in Pine Beach, NJ going crabbing with his grandchildren, or camping with the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed fixing things and working with his hands. James was a long time member of the Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors Association and enjoyed working with the students in the Philadelphia Suburban Association of Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling Contractors (PSAPHCC) Apprenticeship School.

James was the beloved husband of Rosemarie (nee Angeli) Kenney; loving father of James E. Kenney, IV (Katrina), Eric B. Kenney (Jennifer B.), and Jennifer Kelly (Ryan); caring grandfather of Sarah, James, V, Shaine, Jack, Charlotte, and Harper, dear brother of Elizabeth “BJ” Wright (Robert).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 5-7 PM Thursday, October 28, 2021 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM Friday at St. Denis Church, 2401 St. Denis Lane, Havertown, PA 19083. Interment St. Denis Cemetery.
