James Kirk

James Daniel Kirk, age 92, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (nee LaHart) Kirk.

James was a graduate of St. Thomas More High School.  He went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  He was employed for many years as a machinist with Eaton Corporation.

James enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and was an avid Penn State and Eagles fan.  He also loved playing shuffle board, spending time in Ocean City, NJ and most precious to him was spending time with his grandchildren.

James was the beloved husband of the late Teresa J. (nee Muldoon) Kirk; the loving father of James D. Kirk (Amy), Kenneth Kirk (Michelle), Robert T. Kirk (Jill) and the late Lawrence B. Kirk (Ellen); the devoted grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 7.  He was predeceased by his 8 brothers and 1 sister.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Friday, December 4, 2020, 9:00 to 10:30 AM at St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA  19026, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
