James "Jimmy" Mellon, 36, of West Chester, PA, went home to the Lord on January 26, 2019, after a wonderful night of watching movies and eating take out with his beautiful wife. He suffered a massive heart attack in his sleep.
Born September 1982 in Aston Pennsylvania, he was the son of Jim and Betsy (née Provence) Mellon.
A graduate of Cardinal O'Hara and Neumann University, Jimmy married the love of his life, Beth Larkin in January 2017. He worked as a consultant at R&D Heating & Cooling where he showed enormous potential in helping to grow the company.
To know Jimmy was to love him. He always had a smile on his face, a hand to help you, a hug to comfort you, a shoulder to lean on and a bad joke ready to break an uncomfortable situation.
He was an avid sports fan and loved all Philadelphia teams, but the only thing Jimmy loved more than his Super Bowl Champs, the Philadelphia EAGLES, was his family.
He was the loving husband of Beth Mellon; beloved brother of Jaime & Don Phillips, Kellie & Tim Pike, Maureen & Mark Schuck; dear grandson of Aleta Provence; and loving uncle of 14 nieces and nephews. Also survived by his beloved dog, Dawkins and an infinite number of family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at The Donohue Funeral Home,
1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 and to his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM Friday at St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA 19342.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to A Shelter for Cancer Families in honor of his nephew Jacob at www.cancerfamilies.org/donations-in-memory-of.html
