James Milnes, Jr.

On October 22, 2019 James “Jay” Anthony Milnes Jr., passed away, in his home, The 512, surrounded by his loving family.

Jay was born on May 8, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA to, the late, James Anthony “Tony” Milnes and Lily Isabelle Loach Milnes. He was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle & Grandfather.

Jay’s love for his family came first in his life, from nightly dinners going through the “news” of the day to coaching every kid’s little league team to planning countless family vacations where we created memories that will be cherished forever. Fam time, all the time.

Coming from a blue collar family in Pittsburgh, Jay’s work ethic and ability to persevere through the ups and downs of the financial industry over the last 30 years was instilled at a young age. From these humble beginnings he became one of the top financial advisors in the country.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Milnes. Brother Dana (Cheryl) Milnes & Sister Marilyn (Michael) Steinle. His four children; Paul (Brittany) Milnes, Matthew (Kate) Milnes, Bradford (Ashlee) Milnes & Kathryn (Joe) Long & his four Grandchildren; Samuel, Annalise, Mae, & Jordan.

Relatives & friends are invited to his Funeral Service, Monday, October 28, 10:00-11:00 AM at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 763 S. Valley Forge Rd. Wayne, PA, followed by a Luncheon that will be held at the Radnor Valley Country Club, 555 Sproul Rd. Villanova, PA, starting at 12:00 noon. Interment Private.
