James P. Molyneaux , age 85, of Drexel Hill, PA, formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away on August 5, 2015.
He was the founder and owner of James P. Molyneaux Marble, Granite, and Slate Company for nearly 50 years, James helped shape the look and feel of Philadelphia's architectural style. Highlights of his contributions include Bicentennial projects such as the restoration of the First and Second Banks of the United States and the construction of the Liberty Bell Pavilion. Later projects such as One Liberty Place literally changed the Philadelphia skyline and the renovation of 30th Street Station and the Four Seasons Hotel affect how visitors are welcomed to our city.
James was the beloved husband of Maribel "Pidge" (nee Waldo), loving father of Paul G. (Regina Grabrovac), Nancy J. Molyneaux, the late James M. (Carol) and the late Jeanne A. Walsh (John F.), he was the dear grandfather Claire, Evan, Laura, Cecelia, John, Oona, Quinlan and Asher. Also survived by his 2 brothers, 4 sisters and his nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass, Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:00 AM, St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA.
Interment is Private.
