James Rogan, age 79, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on March 31, 2014. Born in County Cavan, Ireland, he was the son of the late John and Rose Rogan (nee Prior).
Mr. Rogan left school in the 5th grade to take over the family farm in Ireland. In 1963, he started his own landscaping business. He was a member of the Cavan Society of Philadelphia, and the Irish of Havertown. He was an avid bowler. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially traveling with them back to Ireland for the summer.
Mr. Rogan is survived by his wife Mary F. (nee Philson), with whom he enjoyed 50 years of marriage, his children John (Joni), Jim (Michele) and Mary Rogan, his grandchildren Jimmy, Johnny, Jeff, Jena, Alex, Mark, Jane, Jileen, Paul, Brooke and Cole. He is also survived by his siblings John Rogan, Alice Meehan, Anna Burke, and Margie Gormley. He was predeceased by his son Paul Rogan and his sister Kathleen Duffy.
