James Weyrauch Sr.

James R. Weyrauch, Sr., 82, of Philadelphia, PA and formerly of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on November 3, 2017.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1935, he was the son of the late James A. and Anna (née LaRocca) Weyrauch.
He was the loving husband of Bonita Weyrauch; loving father of James R. Weyrauch, Jr. (Andrea) and the late Cynthia Ann Weyrauch; loving godfather of Brandon Fields. Also survived by the LaCroce and Fields families and many nieces and nephews.
He served honorably in the US Army National Guard.
He worked as an OSHA Inspector for the Department of Labor. James received his Union Card in 1951, which he held for 64 years until his retirement at 80 years old. He served as President of the AFGE Local 644. He was also Vice President of the PA AFL-CIO and Vice President of the National Council for Field Labor Locals.
Services will be held in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia at a later date.
Jim was a life-long liberal Democrat and spent his life fighting for the working men, women, and disadvantaged in this Country.
