James L. "Jim" Woodward III, 71, of West Chester, PA passed away on March 10, 2022.
Jim was born to James and Elizabeth Woodward on June 19, 1950. A graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School, he entered the Boilermakers Local 13 as a welder. After working his way up the ladder, Jim retired as Manager of Business Development with Nooter Construction.
Jim was the proud father of his children Sharon Wilson (Trip), Stephanie Woodward Taylor (Travis) and James Louis Woodward IV, who preceded him in death, with first wife Linda Woodward; and Alexi Woodward with second wife, Amy Barnada.
Sharon, married to Trip Wilson, gave Jim two grandchildren, Reed and Aubrey Wilson. Alexi gave Jim his third grandchild, Hazel Woodward.
Jim is also survived by his father, James Louis Woodward Jr., sister Betty Smith, brothers Michael Woodward and Patrick Woodward; his partner Kathie Travis, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
When not on the Penn Oaks golf course, you could find Jim volunteering for the Make-A-Wish foundation, watching any Philly sports games or supporting his grandchildren on the soccer fields. Jim loved good food, good friends and laughter. Above all, Jim loved family. He was quick witted and full of Jim-isms. He will be deeply missed. Yes dad, we will let the banana go.
