James J. McLaughlin

James J. “Jim” McLaughlin, 81, of West Chester, PA, passed away on September 13, 2019.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1938, he was the son of the late John and Anne (nee Mullin) McLaughlin. Jim was a graduate of St. Tommy More and La Salle College. He was very proud of the home he built which he fondly called “Hybernia”. Jim’s passion was horseback riding.

He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy T. (nee George) McLaughlin; loving father of Anne C. Searle (Roger), Kathleen M. Pepe (the late Raymond G.), Tim P. McLaughlin (Karen), Dennis K. McLaughlin (Denise), and John M. McLaughlin (Colleen); caring grandfather of Ryan, Aubrey, Erica, Patrick, Tim, Tyler, Kylie, Emily, Brendan, Shannon, Molly, and 1 great-grandchild, Leo Chunk Brewton; dear brother of Jack McLaughlin (Peggy), Michael McLaughlin (Regina), and the late Joseph McLaughlin (Jeanne); also survived by his loving dog, Jasper.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:45-10:45 AM Thursday, September 19, 2019 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Mass 11 AM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Willow Tree Hospice, 616 East Cypress Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348, would be appreciated.
