Jane Shaw

Jane Dalton Shaw, 88, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, published author and teacher, died peacefully January 1, 2021, at home in Villanova after a brief struggle with cancer.

Jane is survived by her husband, Richard Shaw, daughters Cindy Shaw, Karen Shaw and Amy Pomrink, son in law, Matt Pomrink, and grandchildren Maddie and J.J. Pomrink.

Jane grew up in Grosse Pointe Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State University in 1955. She married Richard Shaw in 1955 and in the early years of their marriage they lived in multiple states including Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Illinois and Connecticut before settling in Villanova in 1980.

Jane was an active participant in local writers groups, Alpha Phi alumni and loved spending time with her friends at Merion Golf Club.

There will be a private family memorial later in the year.
