Janet A. Annett

Janet A. Annett (nee Entriken), age 88, of Havertown, PA, passed away on December 16, 2024. She was surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Entriken (nee Hunter).

Janet's 63-year marriage was a testament to her devotion and love. She shared her life with George, creating a bond that served as a model of partnership. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life, epitomizing what it means to grow, evolve, and embrace every season of their journey together.

She enjoyed Nine Holer’s Golf at Llanarch Country Club with her favorite part being the lunch afterwards. She spent hours playing canasta outside with family while watching the children swim in the pool. She is well remembered as a gracious hostess. Her gatherings were infused with warmth, delight and her famous laugh. If Janet was laughing, everyone was laughing. 

Tea was her drink of choice and the first offered to you as you walked through the door. Janet loved talking with family and friends and hearing about everyone’s lives.

Janet was the beloved wife of George E. Annett; loving mother of Marybeth Annett Schroder (Wesley) and Susan Annett Allen (Chris); adoring grandmother of Erin (Umut), Eric, Rachel (Xavier), Sarah, Danny, and Patrick; caring sister of Bud Entriken and Regina Villarose. Predeceased by her son, Michael G. Annett, and her siblings, Trudy Knocke and Bill Entriken.

Relatives and friends are invited to Janet’s Viewing 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082 and 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at St. Bernadette of Lourdes Church, 1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.
