Janet Loucks

Janet Ruth Loucks (nee Pensinger), age 92, of Malvern, PA, formerly of Sun City West, AZ, passed away on December 27, 2014 at Rosemont Presbyterian Village. Born on April 24, 1922 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde H. and Anna Pensinger (nee Guoff). She was a 1940 graduate of Chambersburg High School and a 1945 graduate of Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her R.N. degree. She worked as an R.N. for a short time at Lankenau Hospital and subsequently worked for Dr. E. Eaton Roberts both in Phoenixville and Malvern, PA.



After graduation from Nursing school and her marriage in 1946, most of her life was spent in Malvern from 1957-1984 and Sun City West, AZ from 1984-2012.

She was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Devon, PA and Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West, AZ. She was a member of Chester Valley Golf Club in Frazer, PA and the Lakes Club in Sun City West, AZ.



She was an avid bridge player and golfer, active in her church, but what was most important to her was time spent with family and friends.

Janet was predeceased by her husband W. Donald Loucks in 1993 and her siblings Paul Pensinger (the late M. Claire) and Adda Higgins (the late William).

She is survived by her daughter Pamela J. Carroll (Stephen), her son William D. Loucks, Jr. (Karen), her grandchildren Kristin Spahr (Brad), Douglas Carroll, Andrew Loucks and Ryan Loucks and her great-grandchild Cooper Spahr.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Friday, January 2, 2015 9:30-10:20 AM St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 203 N. Valley Forge Road, Devon, PA and to her Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Interment is private.



In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 would be appreciated.
