JANET ANNE SMITH 1937-2019
In a life that was completely dedicated to Christ’s love, Janet Anne Smith responded joyfully and peacefully when called to her eternal home on Sunday, August 11, 2019.
She was the loving daughter of her late parents, Max Vincent and Elizabeth (Finkell) Gilbert; the second child of twelve with eight sisters and three brothers.
She is also survived by a loving and devoted husband, Thomas B. Smith, Jr.; her five children, Anne Maria Smith Fitch, Mary Therese Smith, Joseph Anthony (Lorraine) Smith, Francis Jude Thaddeus (Sue) Smith and Margaret Mary Smith. Her sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Janet is thrilled to finally be reunited with her 6th child, Claire Marie Anne who has been waiting for her for a long time! Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren also enjoyed her loving presence.
Janet loved art and color; sunlight and quiet; nature and simplicity but most of all she loved her family, especially the children! She was thrilled with laughter and play; gatherings and games – always wanting to be with them, all of us, united in love! Always her love….
