Jean H. McCain (nee Hadley), 79, of Newtown Square, PA passed away on March 4, 2016.
Born in 1936 in Galena, MD, Jean was the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Agnes (Newnam) Hadley.
She worked as a Claims Secretary for State Farm Insurance from 1956-1960.
After leaving State Farm, Jean devoted her time to her family and to her passion, which was her well-tended flower garden. Many people traveled to her home to admire her work. She also assisted with local elections in Newtown Square and worked as a poll inspector.
She was an upbeat and positive person, who never complained about anyone or anything and truly enjoyed helping people.
Jean was the beloved wife of Brockley McCain; dear mother of J.B McCain; and sister of Connie (Edward) Green. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Joan Campbell and her older sister, Agnes Blakesley.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:30-11:00 AM Thursday, March 10, 2016 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300 followed by her Memorial Service 11:00AM. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to the Delaware County SPCA, 555 Sandy Bank Rd, Media, PA 19063.
