Jeanne M. "Mummum" (McCall) Donnelly, age 90, of Upper Darby, PA, on January 19,2017. Born in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Mary C. (Robine) McCall. She married James R. Donnelly on June 24, 1950. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2011. Also preceded in death by her brother , Raymond, her sister, M. DeLellis Milliron, and her daughter Anne D. Cahill (Ted).
Surviving are her brother, C. Robert "Bobby" McCall (Shirley) in Indiana, her sister Charlotte McCall of Altoona, PA, her daughter Kathleen McManus(Robert), sons Patrick (Janice), James (Anne), Edward (Cheryl), 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Jeanne enjoyed singing in the St. Laurence R.C. Church choir and worked as a secretary/administrative assistant for various companies, most recently in the undergraduate admissions office of Villanova University, from where she retired but not before earning her Associate of Arts degree at the age of 66. Jeanne routinely saved the stamps from discarded college admission envelopes that came in from around the world and gave them to her husband , who enjoyed stamp collecting.
Jeanne is famously remembered for sending of birthday and holiday cards to extended family, friends, and neighbors, always including a note. Jeanne was known to be able to stop squabbles with a stern "Here, here, we'll have none of that."
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Jeanne's life on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 7 to 9 PM , and Thursday January 26, 2017 from 9 to 10 AM in Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA, 19082. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30 AM in St. Laurence R.C. Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
