Jeanne Marie Keer

Jeanne Marie Keer, age 88, of Media, PA, formerly of Broomall, PA, passed away on June 3, 2024.

 Born in Atlantic City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George and Jean (née McMennomy) Claffey.

Jeanne embodied qualities of toughness, strength, patience, and loyalty which she instilled in her children.  She found immense joy in the role of being a mother and embraced it with all her heart. Her presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
 
In her leisure time, Jeanne indulged in various activities that brought her immense happiness. From creating ceramics and crafts to competing in bowling leagues, she was always eager to learn new skills and enjoy life to the fullest. Her children’s passion for swimming led her to be a part of the Intra County Swim League and spent memorable times at De Lasalle and Drexel Swim Clubs well past the time her children had moved on with their lives.
 
Beyond her activities, Jeanne had a love of social gatherings where she spent time with friends, new and old. She found relaxation in watching soap operas, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Hallmark Movies. She also loved watching the Phillies and Eagles and celebrated their championships with her children.
 
One of Jeanne's favorite pastimes was visiting Cape May and strolling along the boards at Ocean City, NJ. She delighted in shopping excursions to craft stores or spending quality time with her family members over meals and eating out with friends. However, nothing brought her greater joy than the moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and seeing them laugh, grow and succeed.
 
Jeanne was the beloved wife of Donald R. Keer, Sr.; the loving mother of Donald R. Keer (Ulana), Kenneth W. Keer (Beth), Thomas F. Keer (Karina Boggiano), Brian P. Keer (Christina Elia) and Jeanne Keer (deceased, Bob and Connie).  She was the devoted grandmother of Lauren, Stephanie, Melanie, Larissa, Sydney, Carley, Kennedy, Haley, Dylan, Mikella, Luciana, and the late Kristin.  She was the cherished great-grandmother of Isabella, Sofia, Ezra, Brooks, Bennett, Alex, and Mikey.  Jeanne is also survived by her siblings, Jackie Claffey, Pete Claffey, and Don Claffey.

Family and friends are invited to her Viewing, Sunday evening, June 9, 2024, 4:00 – 6:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA  19073, 610-353-6300. Jeanne’s Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA, followed by interment at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
