Jeannette Custer

Jeannette “Jenny” Custer (nee Tynan), age 90, of Bala Cynwyd, passed away Tuesday July 18^th, 2023 at Paoli Hospital.

She was the beloved wife to the late John S. Custer; Loving mother to her stepson John S. Custer, Jr, (Mary nee Will-Sadowski) of Newtown Square, and the late Peter C. Custer; Devoted Grandmother of John S. Custer, III, Christopher C. Custer (Beth); Devoted Great-grandmother to Charlotte Custer; Dear sister to Berenice Tynan of Sandy, Oregon, the late Frances; and caring Godmother to Maureen Grasso. She is predeceased by her parents William Joseph and Jennie (nee Peirce) Tynan.

 Jenny lived in Bala Cynwyd for the last 60 years. She attended St. Matthias Catholic Church, where she was an active member, volunteer of many church activities and made many lifelong friends. Born in Philadelphia on September 30, 1932, Jenny graduated from West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School in 1950.  While in high school, she made many lasting friendships that continued until her passing. Jenny was kind, caring, thoughtful, and friendly. She will be missed by all who knew her.  

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, Tuesday July 25^th, 2023 followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 128 Bryn Mawr Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.  Funeral Mass to be live streamed beginning at 10:30 AM.  Click the following link to view Funeral Mass:   https://saintmatthias.org/live-stream.
