Jennifer A. Buchanan (nee Villone), age 56, of Boothwyn, PA, passed away on February 10, 2025. Born in Media, PA, she was the daughter of Michael and the late Theresa Villone (nee Marsala).
Throughout her life, she emanated warmth and kindness, a true testament to her nature as a kind soul who could light up any room she entered. Her loyalty was unwavering, making her a treasured friend, confidante, and mentor to many. With a huge heart, Jennifer touched the lives of countless students, nurturing their minds and spirits with her enduring passion for education.
Jennifer embraced a wide array of interests that brought joy not only to her but also to those fortunate enough to share in her passions. She loved attending concerts and musicals that lifted her spirits, while her love for singing in a choral group knitted her connections with others through harmonious melodies. Movies, and her love of reading were also an important part of her life. Her love of reading and teaching children was seen in her work as the Upper Chichester Library, where she served as the Children’s Program Director for several years.
Ocean City, NJ, was her cherished retreat, a place where she wove innumerable memories with her family, each one a thread in the rich tapestry of her life.
Jennifer's faith was the cornerstone upon which she built her life. A devoted soul, she engaged in daily prayer, finding solace and strength in her unwavering beliefs. In times of trial, she sought the sanctuary of the Padre Pio Shrine, a testament to her deep-rooted spirituality that guided her through life's storms.
Jennifer was the beloved wife of Bradley J. Buchanan; loving mother of Matthew T. Villone; caring sister of Mark A. Villone (Chris), Gina M. Szathmary (Steve), and the late Michael S. Villone; adoring aunt of Nicholas Villone, Michael Villone, Steven Szathmary, Jack Villone, Tess Szathmary, Ben Szathmary, Alexander Jack Greenfield and Megan Greenfield. Daughter-in-law of Ned and the late Mary Buchanan. Sister-in-law to Joy Greenfield (Jeff).
Family and friends are invited to Jennifer’s Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM on Monday, February 17, 2025 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Upper Chichester Library, 3374 Chichester Ave #19, Upper Chichester, PA 19061.
