Joan Helen Boland

Boland, Joan H., age 79, on June 12, 2024, of Broomall PA, formerly of Clifton Heights PA. Devoted daughter of the late Joseph A. and late Lottie R. Boland. Beloved sister of Mary Louise Verna (the late James) and John J. Boland (Barbara), loving aunt of six nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and nephews and nine great- grandnieces and nephews.

Joanie attended nursing school at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital where she went on to spend her entire career of more than 40 years. She started as a staff nurse then went into administration in the Home Health Care Department.

Joanie will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, and generous person who made a difference in the lives of so many. Her legacy of love and service will live on through her family, friends, and the countless patients whose lives she touched during her career as a nurse.

Joanie loved spending time with her family and friends and vacationing at the shore. She always had a big smile, and her laugh was infectious. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass Thursday June 27th, 10 A.M., @ Saint Pius X Church, Broomall, PA, and to her Viewing Thursday, after 9 A.M., in the Church. Interment, immediately following, will be at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, 5 Valley Sq.
