Joan B. Layfield

Joan B. Layfield (nee Beebe), age 97, of Paoli, PA, formerly of Wayne, PA, passed away on October 13, 2022. Born in Terrehaute, IN, she was the daughter of the late Lewis S. and Camilla Beebe (nee Cronin).

Avid card player with her great friends at Paoli Pointe along with all Philadelphia sports especially her Villanova Wildcat basketball. She also adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren especially during the Holiday seasons.

Joan was the beloved wife of the late Lamar H. Layfield. Dear mother of Lu Ann Lunger (Joe), Michael C. Layfield (Ann), the late Elizabeth Baker and Lamar “Chip” Layfield. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, Daniel Lunger, Katie Lilly, Galen Baker, Jennifer Baker, Ethan Baker, Kelly Layfield, Sarah Layfield, Christian Layfield and Caroline Layfield and 3 great-grandchildren, Valentina and Marchesa Lunger and Vienna Lilly.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Wednesday, October 19, 2022 6:00-8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 West Lancaster Ave, Wayne, PA 19087 (610) 989-9600 and to her Funeral Mass Thursday, October 20, 2022 10:30 AM at St. Norbert Church, 50 Leopard Road, Paoli, PA 19301. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
