Joan Marie Linenbroker (nee Bryson), 74, of Ridley, Pa., passed away on Thursday, October 17th after a heart attack and fall.
Joan was born on November 22nd, 1949, to Thomas Francis Bryson and Maragaret Bryson (McConnell) in Philadelphia, Pa. After Joan graduated from West Catholic Girls High school in 1968 , she went on to study Fine arts at University of the Arts.
After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts in 1972, Joan worked a series of small jobs in between sharpening her skill as an artist by constantly working on different pieces.
Around 1977, Joan met Scott Linenbroker in Philadelphia while he was stationed there for his time serving in the U.S. Navy. Shortly after they were married and then moved to Virginia where Joans eldest daughter, Cara was born in 1979. Later on they moved to the Pacific North West where she gave birth to Jenna in 1982 in Oregon.
In 1998, Joan and her daughters moved back to her hometown of Philadelphia Pa. where she worked for several years as a teacher before retiring circa 2001.
Joan was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Margaret, and her Goddaughter, Christina Marie Cullen. She is survived by her sisters Anne Bryson, Barbara Cullen, her twin sister Jane Dougherty, Edith Lindstrom and Sue Yanik, as well as her daughters, Cara Linenbroker and Jenna Peacock, and her grandchildren Christian Hughes, Jaxson Peacock and Cael Peacock.
Services will be held at The Donohue Funeral Home 8401 West Chester Pike in Upper Darby. Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Wednesday, October 23rd from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral service to begin at 11 a.m.
Interment will be private
