Joan LaRoche Stevenson of Exton, PA, enjoyed her life fully and passed away peacefully and barefoot in her sleep, on Thursday, July 24, 2014.
Joan's life was a floral tapestry, her spirit classy, an avid gardener and decorator, and was devoted to her family and many lifelong friends.
Joan was active in her community, the Uwchlan Garden Club, Uwchlan Women's Club, Red Hat Society, The Valley Garden Club, Mainline Power Squadron Mainstays, and making sandwiches for the Central Presbyterian charities. She worked at Robert E. Lamb for many years.
Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Stevenson.
She was the loving Aunt of Robert A. LaRoche, Thomas L. LaRoche, John McKenna (Amy), and Mabel Hanscom (Russell); loving Step-Mother of Sue Stevenson Mikulski (Paul), Mark Stevenson (Jennifer) and Joy M. Lieb (Joseph).
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Central Presbyterian Church, 100 West Uwchlan Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335 and to her Funeral Service immediately following at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
