Joan E. Talbot

Joan E Talbot, 87, passed away at home where she was most comfortable on March 22, 2024 with her dear friends by her side. Joan was the loving daughter of the late Anthony W. and Ruth I. (nee Parker) Talbot. Joan was also predeceased by her beloved brother, Gerald A. Talbot.

Joan was a lady, beautiful, loyal, dedicated daughter, sister, and friend, a devoted Catholic who took comfort in her time of prayer and in church.  Joan was office manager at The Glover Clinic for 30 plus years and even after retirement continued the friendships with colleagues, especially Dr. Pasdar who treated Joan like family.

Joan prided herself in her appearance and treasured her time shopping with her mother at various stores in the city, especially Wanamaker’s and later at home through QVC.  She enjoyed relaxing and watching her favorite shows such as classics like Gunsmoke, Rifleman and The Incredible Dr. Pol. She had a special love of animals, most especially cats. She was happiest when Noodles the neighbor’s cat stopped by to visit.

Joan was a sweet, quiet, lovely, charitable person who will be missed dearly by the people she held so close to her.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joan’s viewing Wednesday, March 27 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Ave, Springfield, PA followed by her funeral mass at 11:00 AM.  Internment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA.
