Joann Moore

Joann Theresa Moore (nee Mathenia), age 73, of Broomall, PA, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Tessie (nee Brukiewa) Mathenia.

Joann loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She watched them growing up.  She enjoyed dancing whenever possible, loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles, crocheting and going on family vacations, especially to the Wildwood shore and to Bradford County.

Joann always had a smile on her face even though she survived losing two sons, she still found purpose.  She was a Christian and believed in God.  She found solace in angels and the saints, especially St. Michael.  She even named her son after him.  While she did not go to church, she was a spiritual woman.  Joann was a caring, fun loving, understanding and kind person and will be missed deeply by her family and all who knew her.

Joann was the loving mother of Dawn Creighton, Mike Moore (Karen), Robert Moore (Kelly) the late Robert Creighton (Jennifer) and John Creighton; the devoted grandmother of Amberlee Fulford (Josh), Skylar Moore, Kamryn Moore, Lyza Moore, Giules Moore, and R.J. Moore;  great-grandmother Lucas Fulford.  Also survived by her sister, Patricia Fleury (the late Robert).

Services and interment will be held privately.

The family requests that donations be made in Joann’s name to St. Alphonsus Helping the Needy Ministry 33 Conwell Drive Maple Glen, PA 19002 in lieu of flowers.
