Master Sergeant Joanne Krouse (nee Salvitti), 75, of Philadelphia passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020.  Loving mother of Sophie Riegel (Bryan) and Kimberly Krouse.  Devoted “Mom Mom” of Angelica, Nathaniel, Mila and Giavanna. Sister of Michael Salvitti (Pam) and John Salvitti and the late Ralph and Romeo Salvitti.  She will be sadly missed by dear family including Maria Silvester (Scott), Jamie Blake (Devon) and Scottie; Michael Salvitti (Daria), Dawn Platt (Jimmy); Jimmy Salvitti (Alisha); Jessica Senderling (George); Dakota Salvitti; Teresa Bihlmire (Charles); and Carla and Stephen Bihlmire as well as the many great nieces, nephews and friends she adored.

MSG Krouse proudly served her country with the USAR 4074th Reception Battalion under the 79th ARCOM later attached to the 76 Training Division for 20 years. Highly respected by her peers and all who served with her, MSG Krouse’s duties fell under S3, the Command Operations Staff.  She studied at the University of Pennsylvania and the Charles Morris Price School of Journalism; served as the first female president of the Philadelphia County Young Democrats and later as an elected committee person.
