Johanna Mullin, a dedicated educator and cherished member of her community, passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (née Madden) Mullin.
A proud graduate of West Catholic Girls High School, Johanna furthered her education by obtaining her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Chestnut Hill College. Her academic achievements were a testament to her dedication and love of learning.
After her many years of teaching, Johanna worked as a valuable assistant at The Blind Relief Fund where she empowered her clients. Her commitment to education reflected a deep belief in the potential of every individual, and she always sought to uplift those around her.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Johanna will remember her as a heartwarming individual. She had an incredible ability to see the good in people, and her kindness and selflessness left a profound impact on everyone she met. She had a genuine love for knowledge, which was most evident in her enthusiasm for the game show "Jeopardy," a passion that brought her joy and engagement throughout the years.
Johanna is survived by her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Sr. Joan Miriam SSJ, John Mullin, and Elizabeth Gamble.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her remarkable life at her Funeral Mass on Friday, April 4, 2025, beginning at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Villa Chapel, located at 110 W. Wissahickon Avenue, Flourtown, PA 19031. Interment immediately following at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Johanna’s memory would be appreciated to St. Joseph Villa, at the above address.
