John M. Amodei, Sr., "Jack", 87, of Exton, formerly of Millsboro, DE, and Wayne, PA, passed away September 22, 2018.
Born November 4, 1930 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael Angelo and Julia (nee DiMarco) Amodei. Jack was a graduate of St. Katherine of Siena High School, Wayne, PA, and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Jack enjoyed bowling, crabbing, fishing, and boating. He owned several horses in his lifetime and loved horse racing. He was very involved with baseball and softball when his children were young and was an umpire for over 35 years. He was a school bus driver for many years and worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier and was known as "Jack the Mailman".
He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen (nee Mann) Amodei; the loving father of Julia M. Deitch (Charles), Michael L. Amodei (Rachael), and father-in-law of Lauren Amodei; adoring PopPop of Caitlin, Nicholas, Brittney, Cheryl, Heather, Stacey, Hannah, Brandi, and Jacklyn; and a Great-Grandpop of Brayden, Conner, Alaina, Jackson, Lilliana, and Declan. He was predeceased by his son, John M. Amodei, Jr.

Interment at St Monica Cemetery, 1155 Old Lancaster Road, Berwyn, PA.
