John Bodnar, Sr.

Our father John Bodnar Sr., 84 years old, of Coatesville Pennsylvania passed away on October 7th.

He was predeceased by his wife Diane and his grandson John III. He left behind his children Diane, Ed, Mary, John Jr., Melissa and Julie. He left behind his grandchildren Ashley, Christine, Brian, Madison, Shay, Mike, Thomas, Ava, Jake, Olivia and Erin. He left behind his great grandchildren Cole, Blake and soon to be baby Carter.

John grew up in St. Clair Pennsylvania playing high school football and attending church. After high school he joined the Air Force until August 1961. He married his wife Diane and moved to Delaware County working at the Navy Ship Yard then Boeing as an aircraft mechanic for the Department of Defense.  He retired and moved to Coatesville Pennsylvania. 

John enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren, wood projects, working outside in his yard, watching Penn State games and researching his family history. John had a passion for astronomy. He also loved movies and had a huge CD collection. We will miss him immensely.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 2:30-3:30 PM Saturday, October 15, 2022 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000, followed by his Funeral Service at 3:30 PM.
