John S. Boyd, age 76, of Devon, PA, passed away on July 4, 2013. Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Harvey and Isabel Boyd (nee Sherlock).
Mr. Boyd attended Syracuse University before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. He later founded and operated John S. Boyd Associates which represented publishing and software companies in the school and library market for nearly 50 years. Described by many as a true "one of a kind", he will be remembered for his unending devotion to his family, his kindness towards others, his love of life and his never ending positive attitude. He was an inspiration to many.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Carol J. Boyd (nee Lenz), his devoted children Heather B. Greenberg (Bobby) of Paoli, PA, Bradley M. Boyd (Kerry) of Winchester, MA and Dean J. Boyd (Maureen) of Paoli, PA, his siblings, Barbara A. Boyd of Syracuse, NY, H. Michael Boyd of Kingwood, TX and Richard Boyd of Syracuse, NY. He will be forever cherished by his grandchildren Ashley and Connor Greenberg, Colin and Sean Boyd, Caroline ("CC") and Walker Boyd.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Thursday, July 11, 2013 11 AM St. Norbert Church, 50 Leopard Road, Paoli. Interment is private.
