John Albert Colonna, 92, died October 3, 2018.
Born in New York City, to immigrant parents from Italy, he moved to South River N.J. in 1950, where he and his wife, Goldie raised their family.
John owned an insurance agency, before being appointed as the Director of Industrial Development for Middlesex County.
He had a passion for state and local politics, and was elected to serve in the position of South River Councilman.
He eventually moved to Bethlehem, PA, where he retired.
John was predeceased by his son, Robert Colonna and his brother, Thomas Colonna.
Surviving are his wife, Goldie Colonna (nee Torres); daughters Linda Hohn and her husband Richard of Radnor, PA and Tracey Brown and her husband Scott of Easton, PA; daughter-in-law Ellen (Nkomo) Colonna of New Brunswick, N.J.; brother-in-law John Torres of Bayonne, N.J.; four grandsons, James Hohn, Christopher Hohn, Tyler Colonna and Nicholas Colonna; and many nieces and nephews.
