John D. O'Keefe, Esq., age 89, of Bala Cynwyd, PA, formerly of Havertown, PA passed away on October 14, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John Patrick and Frances O'Keefe (nee Boyle).
John was a proud 1945 graduate of West Catholic Boys High School. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Joseph University in 1950, his Juris Doctor degree from Temple University and his LLM (Master's in Taxation Law) from New York University.
John was an avid golfer and was a member of Llanerch Country Club for over 40 years.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen Patricia O'Keefe (nee King), his loving children Kathie Schafer (John), Jane A. O'Keefe, Suzanne A. Chupein (John), Patricia A. O'Keefe and J. Patrick O'Keefe (Julie), his grandchildren Kendra, Connor, MacKenzie, Riley, Molly, Lily, Mia and Jackson and his sister, Peggy Gasmire.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, October 19, 2017 9:15-10:20 AM St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
