John C. Dorfman, 90 years of age, of Wayne, PA, passed away on March 1, 2015.
John served in the United States Navy during World War II. He attended Yale University as an undergraduate and Cornell University Law School. John was the founding partner of the patent law firm Dann, Dorfman, Herrell and Skillman. He was the former president of the Patent Section of the American Bar Association, the President of the Philadelphia APLA and served on the Board of Directors for the Inventors Hall of Fame.
John was an active member and elder of Wayne Presbyterian Church, an international traveler, enthusiastic golfer and regularly attended numerous local theater and arts offerings. John lived a full and active life. He was beloved by his family and friends. He will be missed.
John was predeceased by his wife, Ruth, whom he had been married to for 63 years and by his granddaughter, Rebecca. He is survived by his children Beverly Lenci, Laura Dorfman, Carolyn Dorfman and Brad Dorfman, 4 grandchildren, 3 nieces and his brother, Lee Dorfman (Adrienne).
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service, Saturday, March 7, 2015 10:00 AM Wayne Presbyterian Church, 125 E. Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA. Interment is private.
