John Ferrick, Jr.

John J. Ferrick, age 85, of Springfield, PA, formerly of Rochester, NY, passed peacefully on July 13, 2013 at Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel Hill, PA. Born in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late John J. Ferrick, Sr. and Anna D. Ferrick (nee Quealey).
John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he also served proudly in the U.S. Marines. He was employed as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley in Philadelphia for 40 years retiring in 2007.
He is survived by his children John James Ferrick, III, Matthew Ryan Ferrick (both of Springfield, PA and (Mary) Robin Thiers of Christiana, PA, 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and his sister Mary Glasow of Homestead, FL. He was predeceased by his sisters Dorothy Koroly, Margaret Dougherty and Sheila Ferrick. He was the former husband of the late Mary Ellen Ferrick (nee Owens).
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Friday, July 19, 2013 9:00-9:50 AM St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 would be appreciated.
