John George, Sr.

John R. "Bob" George, Sr., age 78, of Havertown, PA, passed away on February 3, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Maureen O'Malley George. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William J. George Sr. and Anne Murphy George.
Bob was a graduate of St. Francis deSales Grade School, St. Joseph's Preparatory School and St. Joseph's College. He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as an Electrical Superintendent for PECO working in Philadelphia as well as the suburbs. He retired in 1994 after 37 years of service.
He is survived by his children John R., Jr. (Patty), Michael W. (Kathy), Kevin J. (Jean Marie), Maureen A. Abram (Tom), Therese M. Maul (Ed), Kathleen M., Francis P. (Bonniejean) and Jennifer M. Kaercher (Steve). He is also survived by his 23 grandchildren, his siblings Cecilia Falcone (Tom), Thomas (Carole), James (Jane) and his in-laws Nancy George, James McLaughlin, and his loving cousin Dan Beam (Terry).
He was predeceased by his brother William J. George, Jr. and his sister Nancy McLaughlin.
