John Glancey

John J. Glancey, 73, of Springfield, Pa., passed away on July 10, 2016 at Residence of Glen Riddle. He was an avid golfer, loved spending time in Ocean City, NJ with his family and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed exercising at the Healthplex in Springfield and following Penn State football. (We Are...) John was a graduate of Yeadon High School, a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was a printer for The Philadelphia Inquirer for 45 years before his retirement. He was pre-deceased by his parents Francis and Viola (nee Zimmerman) Glancey, his daughter Kristina Hitchens(Daniel) and his brother Thomas Glancey. John is survived by his beloved wife Gail L. Glancey (nee Hershey), his son John J. Glancey, Jr, his grandchildren Kimberlee Hitchens, Sarah and Carlin Glancey and his brother Francis Glancey. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00 - 11:00 AM on July 16, 2016 at St. Kevin Church 200 W. Sproul Rd. Springfield, Pa 19064 followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
