John E. Goetz, age 88, of Audubon, PA, passed away on December 5, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Rita Goetz (nee Fleming); loving father of Anne (John) Purnell, Barbara (Joe) Barks, Judy (Doug) Marshall, and Carol (Karl) Bupp; dear brother of David (Mary Sue) Goetz, the late Edward, Robert, Bernard, and Audrey; also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Goetz was born on August 9, 1930 in Millvale, PA. He graduated from North Catholic High School, Pittsburgh, PA in 1948 and enlisted in the US Marine Corps. From 1951-1952, he served in Korea for the Military Police attached to the First Marine Division. Mr. Goetz pursued a successful career in industrial adhesive sales. He worked as a sales representative and in national sales management for Arabol, Borden Chemical, and National Starch & Chemical, retiring in 1996. Mr. Goetz was also the devoted caretaker of his wife for many years.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Thursday, December 13, 2018 9:30-10:20 AM at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM.
Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
