John Hasson
December 26, 1944 — October 20, 2017
John R. Hasson, age 72, of Lansdowne PA, passed away on October 20, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Bernard Philip Hasson, Sr. and Catherine F. O'Donnell Hasson.
He was a graduate of West Catholic for Boys and St Joseph College (now St Joseph University). He was a very well respected math and science teacher; for a short time he worked at Marple Newtown School District but the majority of his career was spent working for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He taught at Saint James, Archbishop Carroll, West Catholic, Bonner, and Cardinal O'Hara high schools. He was a memorable teacher who made a difference in so many students' lives. He retired from teaching in 2009.
He also owned and operated Optimum Image until 1996. He had a huge love of photography.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Chris (Agnes Christine Daly) and his siblings Rose Hudrick, Virginia Hudrick, Catherine Hudrick Hayes, Bernard Philip Hasson, and Paul Gregory Hasson.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, October 26, 2017 9:30-10:20 AM St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3422 Dennison Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to West Catholic Preparatory High School, 4501 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19139 would be appreciated.
