John Hickey

John J. Hickey, 75 of Wilmington, DE, formerly of the Westbrook Park section of Upper Darby, PA, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2017, after a brave battle with cancer.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1941, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Dorothy B. (nee Toolen) Hickey.
After graduating from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1960, John worked as an electrician and was a member of Local 98 IBEW until his retirement in 2000.
John was the beloved husband of the late Carole J. (nee White) Hickey. Loving father of John P. Hickey (Susan), Sharon M. Hickey, Suzanne E. Swain, Brian T. Hickey (Lisa), Sean M. Hickey and Maureen B. Hickey. Grandfather of Samantha, Stephanie, Meghan, Patrick, Andrew, Lillian, Shane and Alexis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives, friends and members of Local 98 IBEW are invited to visit the family on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 9:30 AM

11:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300, followed by a celebration of John's life at 11:30AM. Interment will be private.
