John "Jack" Joseph Kane Jr, 86, passed away April 8, 2024, surrounded by his family. Beloved son to the late John J. and Mary (nee Mullhern) Kane Sr.
Jack is survived by his loving children John J Kane III (Jane), Brian Kane, and Christopher Kane; Brother Edward Kane (Late Ruth) and Sister Margaret Coleman (Jack); Grandchildren, Dillon, Kylie, and Jack. Jack was an adored Uncle to many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Jack was predeceased by his dear wife Margaret “Peggy” (nee McClafferty) Kane and brother Patrick Kane.
Family was the cornerstone of his life. Jack enjoyed spending time with his family in the Pocono Mountains, Ocean City, NJ, Super Bowl parties and in his backyard floating in the pool.
Born with a creative spirit and a passion for the open road, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from the hum of an engine to the serene quiet of the open water. His love for cars was matched only by his enthusiasm for a day on the water, a testament to his appreciation for both flash and tranquility.
A connoisseur of good food, he always loved going out to dinner with family and friends. His favorite outings included indulging in surf and turf, shrimp cocktail, and an old-fashioned cocktail in hand, a tradition that became synonymous with his zest for the finer things in life.
Relatives and friends are invited to John’s viewing Monday, April 15 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM in St. Pius X Church, 220 Laurence Road, Broomall, PA, followed by his funeral mass at 10:00 AM. Interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield, PA.
