John D. Kelly, 84, of Salem, NJ, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on September 23, 2017. Born in Altoona, PA, he was the son of the late Paul Anthony and Ester V. Kelly (nee Murphy). He was predeceased by his son, John David Kelly Jr. (Diane) "Davey" and his brothers Fred Kelly, Charles Kelly, James Kelly, and Richard Kelly.
After graduating from St. Thomas More High School, John was employed with Acme Markets as a Fork Lift Operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Kelly (nee Jackson) and his loving children, Michael Patrick Kelly (Debbie), Kathleen Marie Weiss (Jeff), Stephan Kelly, and Paul Anthony Kelly (Maryanne). He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Rasnick (Duwayne), his 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, September 28, 2017 9:00 - 10:45 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.) Upper Darby, PA followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Manningtown Fire Company, Salem Woodstown Road, Salem, NJ 08079 would be appreciated.
