John E. Knox

John E. Knox, age 95, of West Chester, PA, passed away on March 16, 2025.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1929, he was the son of the late Ellwood and Phyllis (nee Pratt) Knox. John was a graduate of Lower Merion High School. He worked for Philadelphia Electric Company his entire career on the Main Line Division. John was an avid Philly sports fan and an Eagle's season ticket holder. He enjoyed golf in his later years and loved boating in Chestertown, MD.

John was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn (nee Davidson) Knox; loving father of John R. Knox and Charles Knox (Tina); caring grandfather of Ryan, Rylie, Matthew, and Michael Knox and great-grandfather of Vance, Olivia, Grayson, Gunner, Griffin, Aiden, Taylor, and Elliot; dear brother of Jane Ferris and Bill Knox.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:30-11:00 AM Monday, March 24, 2025 at United Methodist Church of West Chester, 129 S. High Street, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. There will be a luncheon at the church immediately after the service, followed by the interment at Philadelphia Memorial Park.
