John R. Lynch, 81, of West Chester, PA passed away on October 29, 2013 at the Neighborhood Hospice.
Born in 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, John was the son of Mattie (Russell) and John Lynch, both deceased.
He was a graduate of West Catholic Boys High School and a 1953 graduate of Villanova University where he received his Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for PECO in Philadelphia for 35 years.
John was a devout and committed member of the Catholic Church. He was very involved with and the treasurer for the Catholic Charities Appeal.
He was a devoted husband, father and Pop-Pop.
He was also an avid sports fan who especially loved the Philadelphia Eagles.
John was the beloved husband of Maureen J. (Friel) Lynch; loving father of Joseph M. Lynch, Susan Lynch Foster (William) and Christopher J. Lynch (Carla); loving grandfather of Alicia, Gabrielle, Madeleine, Joseph, Kylie and Melinda.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 11:00 AM

12:00 noon Saturday, November 2, 2013 and to his Funeral Mass 12:00 Noon at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA. Interment All Souls Cemetery, Coatesville, PA.
