John Francis Maben, age 91, of Media, PA, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, John was the son of the late Edward and Anna (nee Williams) Maben.
John graduated St. Thomas More High School, class of 1945.
He went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Navy.
John was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years.
John enjoyed bowling at Sproul Lanes, was a Ranger at Paxon Hollow Golf Club,
loved throwing darts, and learning different languages.
John was the beloved husband of Alice (nee Bonaduce) Maben; the loving father of Deborah Paradisi (Stephen), Madeline Stranieri, Jacqueline Lombardi (Anthony), and John F. Maben, Jr. (Dorinda); proud grandfather of Lisa, Erica, Dana, Andrew, Jenna, Amanda, Angelina, Stephanie and Jason; and great-grandfather of Isabella, Hannah, Benjamin, Logan, and Julian. He is also survived by his brothers, Edward and Samuel Maben and is predeceased by his siblings, Marie Stabinski and Joseph Maben.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Thursday, October 25, 2018, 10:00 - 10:50 AM at St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA
19026, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
