John (“Jack”) J. Manning, Jr., age 69, of Aston, PA, passed away peacefully October 10, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Johanna M. (nee McGovern) and John J. Manning, Sr.
Jack was often known as the nicest guy in the world, a true gentleman with a smile that would light up the room. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and leader. He was a championship CYO coach for over 25 years. With great success, he was inducted into the St. Francis CYO Hall of Fame. Jack was asked to take over as commissioner of the high school CYO league, which he guided for 20 years. He formed many great relationships that still exist to this day. Jack graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a degree in accounting, where he eventually became a Certified Public Account (CPA), which he enjoyed doing for over 45 years. Most of all, he was a truly compassionate, dedicated family man, loved by everyone, who would do anything for anybody.
Jack was the beloved husband of Cindy Manning (nee Vito); loving father of John J. “Jack” Manning, III and Thomas J. “Tom” Manning; caring brother of Tom Manning (Susan “Sue”); And a devoted Uncle to his adoring nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Viewing 9:30-11:00 AM on Friday, October 18, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, PA 19064, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 A. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Road, Yeadon, PA 19050.
