John M. Marran, 80, of Hershey's Mill, West Chester, PA passed away suddenly on October 12, 2014 after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease.
Born in Wilmington, DE, John was the son of the late Francis J. and Grace A. (Healy) Marran.
He was a graduate of the University of Niagara and earned his Master's Degree from Mary Manse, Toledo, OH. He was a Professor at Delaware County Community College in Media, PA where he taught philosophy.
He was the beloved husband of Theresa (Lauter) Marran; loving father of Matthew (Megan); loving grandfather of Hannah and Thomas John; dear brother of James F. Marran (Barbara); and uncle of Jay, Julie, David, Paul and all of their children.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 and to his service 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 1325 East Boot Rd. West Chester, PA 19380.i
